What a great weekend!! Started with a Friday follow up to see how eliminating some pre-diabetic meds and a statin (Glucophage and Lipitor) worked out over the last 3 months. I need neither of them any longer having corrected elevated blood sugar and total cholesterol with diet and pilates. They had side effects affecting short term memory and cognitive functions. Also eliminated two others which had similar side effects. Haven't felt such clarity of thought in many years. The meds did their job and I did mine with diet and pilates. Thanks to my PCP (primary care physician) and Jenn Santana of SweatFitness RB . Next increments: 10 pound weight loss milestones.
After signing up for a Living Social promo for a month of Pilates, I was hooked. I went three times a week for a month, totaling 12 classes. It was the best experience I ever had with strength training using my own body weight with enough personal instruction from the trainer in a class of up to nine participants. I've never had such good posture and muscle tone since I did body building at Gold's Gym in Venice. I sweat like crazy all the instructors are attentive and helpful.The atmosphere in the class is very positive, motivating, and encouraging. It's something to which I look forward every morning because it sets the tone for the day and can expect to be more productive with a more positive attitude, especially from the cardiovascular work.When I don't go, I'm not as happy. My pants are starting to slide off my hips. Friends are commenting that I look thinner. The instructors share their nutrition tips and experiences as well.I'm on my third month now up to four to five times a week, always in the morning. There are lots of evening classes as well. Each instructor has her own style and I take classes from four of them. I can't say enough good things about this studio!I really love it here and SweatFitness RB deserves the ZCHANNEL unconditional guarantee: You won't be disappointed!
I am currently in the middle of my 10 session groupon pass and let me just say, wow! what an amazing place to get a great workout in! I am fairly new to pilates and find Jenn to be extremely helpful making sure I am doing the exercises right. She gives great advice too and is a great motivator to push myself. My posture and core or seeing great results too!
What an amazing introduction to reformer pilates! I do yoga regularly, however, was looking for something new. Jenn was so inviting and her staff amazingly helpful and friendly. The instructors are very professional, giving tips and reminders throughout class, on how to get the most out of the exercise. Each instructor offers something new and a unique style of teaching; each class I feel challenged and grateful for SweatFitness RB. Once again, Jenn is so responsive to your needs and will reply immediately to any questions or concerns. Give it a shot; you'll be hooked!
I've been training with Jenn at SweatFitness RB for almost 6 years and my body and fitness has completely changed. I am now up to 4 days a week and love every minute of it. I was always active but never the athletic type. I couldn't even throw a ball if I tried! I had joined various gyms over the years and thankfully when Curves Hermosa closed, I found Jenn. She is amazing. Her tough love style motivates you to push beyond your limits if you are willing. At 52 I have better muscle tone than I ever have and I look and feel better as a result. Just because you may be older, it doesn't mean you can't step it up. All the trainers at HB are fantastic - each one has a different style and I appreciate what I learn each time. I am still working on doing proper push-ups and getting there by the day! Oh and for those of you who want to lose weight, no one will coach you better than Ms Jenn. Last but not least, the clients also rock!! Great wonderful and caring. We always have fun while busting our butts :-)
I started working out here the Monday after Thanksgiving. I asked Jenn (owner and instructor) for some tips and she immediately jumped in. Since working with Jenn I have seen myself getting in shape, eating clean and getting stronger every day! I actually lost weight over the holidays this year instead of gaining! I have seen more results training here than in the last three years of "trying" to lose weight. This is one of the most fulfilling exercises I have done in years. All of the trainers are excellent and I cannot wait for the next class. (Even if I cannot move for a couple of days!).

I'm one of several men who take classes with Jenn and let me tell you, Pilates IS for guys! Whatever you heard or think you know about pilates, you didn't hear it or learn it from Jenn and the instructors at this studio. Take off the weight belt, put down the irons and come get on a reformer. This class will kick your a** and you will have fun as well. You will not believe you just worked out for an hour. Great music incorporated too. Take it from me, pilates is for men!
I always feel extremely challenged and a great sense of accomplishment after Jenn's classes. The environment is fun. She keeps the class fresh - always mixing up the workouts. Her class will kick your butt. Jenn and her team are great. You will get a good work out at RBPS.

The instructors are excellent. If you want a good workout with great people, this is the place to go. I love it. You will feel it the next day (or maybe two).
Going to SweatFitness RB is like eating spinach. Doesn't taste great going down but it's SO GOOD FOR YOU! Think of Popeye, he ate that stuff to get strong. And Olive Oil, so long and lean - one of Jenn's celebrity clients, no doubt! And Jenn kicks butt! But then, look how good your butt gets to look!

Jenn is the best inspiration! She pushes us to the fatigue point while making us laugh at her life-antics. We don't even know how hard we've worked out until the next day! She has such a variety of exercises and works multiple muscle groups with each butt- whooping!
This Pilates studio / Instructor will change your life! I can not believe how much leaner and stronger I am. The pilates instructors here are so dedicated to you becoming the best possible version of yourself. The classes are challenging and always fun. I have done it all; bar method, kick boxing, running, tennis, and this is the only activity that has defined my body. Try it, you'll love it!

Once upon a time when Jenn had a sub, it meant it would be an easier class. Now she has hired a team of assassins! Where do you find these trainers? I'm not looking forward to trying to get out of bed in the morning!
I recently moved to Redondo Beach and was thrilled to find a Pilates studio right around the corner. I had trained on the reformer previously but it had been a while. I signed up for an early evening group class at SweatFitness RB about two months ago. Jenn Santana (the owner and an instructor) runs a tight fast class that is challenging to say the least. In reference to one of the other reviews on this site I would say that she does indeed stop to correct your posture - frustratingly often actually - and this is a good thing to get the best benefits. If you are a neophyte to Pilates, you need to take a one or two private lessons first before you jump into a group class. It's one thing to have the instructor correct a posture, it's quite another to have her have to stop the whole class while she shows you how to set up the machine. After that first class I could barely move for a few days - and it was great! I have never had a better work out and I continue to go to SweatFitness RB several times a week. Jenn Santana is not for the feint of heart, or if you are looking to simply stretch out your muscles, but if you want a killer work out and want to see results as fast as possible, there is nobody better in my opinion. SweatFitness RB is the BEST pilates/personal training studio in the South Bay for sure! I've lived here for 13 years and have found many studios and instrutors to be intimidating, snooty or aggressive. That is NOT the case here. Everyone from the trainers to the other clients are very easy-going and down-to-Earth. You actually have fun while getting an amazing butt-kicking workout. The trainers are fun and keep you motivated to keep coming back. I've been going to Reformer Classes and have been doing Private Training for over three years...I've never worked out so hard in my life, and my body has never looked better. SweatFitness RB is the best Pilates Studio in the South Bay. Classes are always innovative and never boring because the Instructor mixes up Yoga and TRX with Pilates. SweatFitness RB is a fantastic pilates / yoga / TRX studio! I have taken two group classes a week since they opened and have never had a boring workout. The music revs you up and all the trainers are top-notch. There is also a wonderful sense of comaraderie in the group classes. But trust me, it's not some sort of kom-bah-yah gabfest ... be prepared to get your butt kicked. You will be stiff and sore in different parts of your body after every session. This studio has COMPLETELY changed my body! Pilates has always been something I wanted to try, but I never had the courage. I walked in right after New Years two years ago and haven't stopped since... with the exception of a small break post honeymoon. I wanted to tone without being bulky and this did the trick. The classes have a great vibe and the instructors are really sweet and are always willing to help - not to say they won't make you hurt for a few days afterward. The pain is definitely worth it because you feel like you're getting somewhere... I never felt that way in a gym or with any other fitness routine. Whether I'm in a private lesson, a trio, or a full class, I always feel like I get the full attention of the instructor which helps me to know I'm doing the moves correctly. There is no shortage of help or encouragement with each instructor at SweatFitness RB.

We are so fortunate to have a great Pilates studio right here in Redondo Beach! I didn't know if I should do yoga, private training, cross-training, (TRX) or what; until I found Jenn's place, SweatFitness RB, and my search was over! This place is great; it has a super workout, great instructors, and super energy! and is so convenient. It's the best workout I've had and it is getting me in the shape that I want. SweatFitness RB is the most a** kicking pilates/yoga/TRX studio in the Southbay. Actually in all of LA! I've been practicing pilates for seven years and have been to lots of different studios/ private trainers and never left fully satisfied with my workout, always felt like I needed more gym time to compensate. After taking Jenn's classes and her other trainer's classes, like Kelsi and Sarafina, I found THE Pilates place. NO after gym workout necessary anymore. These ladies whip you into shape and somehow you have fun doing it! Also recommend privates for the extra help on form etc. anonymous SweatFitness RB has great energy! SweatFitness RB is the finest workout studio I have ever been to or heard off, and the staff boasts some of the most professional, dedicated trainers you will ever encounter in this industry. I have been taking private sessions and group classes here for a year and a half, and I have *never* left the studio thinking 'eh, that was an ok workout'. You will always leave SweatFitness RB feeling thoroughly worked out - no muscles are ignored! The trainers here do an excellent job of keeping up with the health industry, and always have new ways of targeting those same old trouble spots. Also, the trainers each have a great knowledge of physiology, and tailor their advice and workouts to your particular needs. You will never be 'babied' here, even if you're working around an injury, but you will always be safe, and you will ALWAYS sweat! SweatFitness RB is fantastic. Jenn Santana has done more to help me change my body than any other trainer. Forget any other Pilates studio, Jen is the absolute best. She is tough aI have found a workout that works! I had tried them all. This workout is a combination of pilates, yoga, TRX and BOSU. The classes are fun and challenging. I have gained strength an flexibility. I love the way I look and feel. Thank you Jenn for enriching my life with your positive energy and commitment to excellence.s nails and will kill you but the fun we have and the results are more than worth it. At 49, I feel a little embarrassed to say that now have the body of a 30 year old and I'm not bragging. If you want abs of steel and a great look this is it.
