Sweat Fitness & Integrative Wellness is located in a 2 story bright, beachy 1700 sq ft. loft near the Redondo Beach pier- We have 8 amazing instructors teaching Pilates Reformer, Privates, TRX, Circuit, Yoga & Athletic Conditioning.
We are also lucky enough to have Localized Cryotherapy, InfraRed Hot Stone Therapy, Leg Compression, Sports Massage and Facials! We also have reserved parking right in front for our clients- look for our sign right past the blue gate!
Jenn is the owner and founder of the studio, and her list of celebrity clientele includes Actor Tom Cruise, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Kings. Jenn holds two Bachelors Degrees from San Diego State University, and has been working in the fitness industry for over 22 years. She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), TRX, Balanced Body, Peak Pilates, Yogafit & Yogaworks. She also specializes in the functional training of older adult and pre-/post-natal clients, as well as those focusing on weight loss, using TRX®, BOSU®, and other fitness tools. Jenn's ultimate goal is to provide dynamic strength, flexibility, and balance through the "Mind/Body" connection. Jenn trains clients in the basic functions of training as well as sports specific goals such as triathlons, hockey, football, basketball, marathons, stuntwork for films and speedwork. Her fitness industry experience also includes nutrition/supplementation while working for The Sports Club/LA and Spectrum Clubs. Jenn's training philosophy: "NEVER, EVER the same workout!" Jenn is also a representive for #oprahmagazine.
Debbie has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 24 years and has studied many bodywork and movement modalities in order to service all of her clients. Her wellness program incorporates pilates, sports training and massage techniques to improve individuals fitness and body awareness. She studied at UCLA, is certified in Pilates Technique from Long Beach Dance Conditioning and Movement Academy (LBDC), Sports Training at the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and Massage Therapy at The Massage School of Santa Monica. Debbie draws knowledge from her work experience with chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, sports trainers and master pilates teachers. Clients have included post rehab, beginner level to advance fitness, professional athletes, and TV/movie celebrities. From basic function of movement and training, sports specific goals and stunt work in films she works safely within the client's ability.
Kelsi is certified through the Orange Coast College's Pilates and dance instructor program and has been teaching since 2008. She holds a bachelors degree in Kinesiology through the California State University of Long Beach. Inspired by her love of movement Kelsi brings a variety of training techniques to her workout program. Functional fitness is the main goal for her clients. Humans need to be able to move in day to day life and recover from the bumps and bruises along the way. Kelsi has many years of training in the private, group and corporate sector and her clients range from beginner to advanced, from athletes to the elderly. Kelsi enjoys pushing her clients to their maximum potential and loves to keep the workouts new and exciting.
Michelle has been teaching Yoga and Pilates for over 11 years. She attended Northern Arizona University and is certified through The Pilates Sports Center, located in Encino, CA. She is Yoga Certified through Yoga Mittra and Stand Up Paddle certified thru H2Yo in Florida. Michelle is also Zumba and TRX certified. Michelle began her fitness path by volunteering and training with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Team in Training, while planning to compete in her first Marathon in Honolulu, Hawaii. After successfully completing three full marathons and seven ½ marathons, Michelle felt she needed to find a new and innovative way to strengthen her legs and knees during her racing endeavors. Michelle discovered Pilates as a method of training and immediately fell in love with the sport. This passion led her to a certification as an instructor, as she decided that she wanted to begin a path of training others about the benefits of Pilates. Michelle continues her love for an active lifestyle through paddling, racing, snowboarding, surfing, hiking and yoga…but Pilates & Yoga are always first on her list.
Raised on an exotic animal rescue shelter in Texas. Brie moved to Los Angeles in 2008, to pursue her dreams.
She has been practicing yoga since 2001. In 2013, she travelled to study in the birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh, India; where she received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification, along with studying reiki and Thai massage.
In the states, she has received certifications in teaching children’s yoga through Zooga Yoga and Yoga for Youth. She is currently working towards her 500 hour YTT certification through Wanderlust Hollywood.
Beyond teaching yoga, she teaches children and adults across Los Angeles about sustainable gardening practices and culinary arts. Brie’s hope is that her life’s work can teach and inspire others to live holistic, happy, and healthy lives.
Melanie has been teaching in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Melanie Turnbow was introduced to Pilates by Dr. Craig Beuhler, the Sports Medicine Specialist for the Utah Jazz. After a 4 year traditional apprenticeship under the direction of Chantelle Colliers, she came to Los Angeles to attend The Performing Arts of Physical Therapy. As a member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Her specialty areas include Pre and Postpartum Pregnancy , Pain Relief, Management and Movement for Children and Teens. After 18 years of teaching, she has added the fundamentals of other disciplines such as Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais , Ballacore and Gyrokenisis.
Danielle Spangler, a pre and postnatal fitness specialist, has been in the fitness industry privately training clients, teaching group exercise classes and mentoring other fitness professionals through continuing education for over twenty years. Danielle has her B.S in Kinesiology and received credits towards her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in pre & postnatal fitness from the University of North Texas. Danielle was a master trainer in this area of fitness at numerous renowned fitness centers & corporate wellness centers including the Sports Club/LA. Danielle holds several national trainer certifications since 1992 to include NSDM, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, AFAA and Cooper Aerobics Institute of Dallas. Danielle is also a consultant on pre & postnatal exercise and has written articles for Fit Pregnancy Magazine. The National Academy of Sports Medicine recruited Danielle in 2002 to co-write in a prenatal CD-ROM continuing Education course for other fitness professionals’ worldwide. Since the birth of Danielle’s first child in 2002, Danielle has developed many exercise classes in the South Bay for expectant and new mothers. As a mother of three, Danielle understands the physical challenges women may face during pregnancy, childbirth and recovery on both a professional and personal level.
Manuela’s passion is helping people find the results that they are looking for, as well as helping them find the healthiest, most balanced place for their bodies and applying that knowledge to their everyday lives. While she was a spinning instructor with Schwinn, Manuela began to search for another way of strengthening her core and discovered Yoga and Pilates. She soon became certified in Power Yoga, Pilates and Fitness with SAFS School for Fitness and Aerobics in Switzerland. Her love for teaching and inspiring her clients to create greater strength, freedom of movement, well being and confidence fulfills her life.
